French Painter Fernand D'Onofrio with Vincent D'Onofrio at the Tama Gallery, Tribeca New York City, 2006
Le Figaro, edition France-Amerique, 11-17 Novembre 2006

- a portion of the article, loosely translated -

It is by the intermediary Gennaro D'Onofrio, the president of Riverrun Film Festival, that Fernand and the owners of the Tama gallery came into contact.   Although they bear the same surname, Gennaro, the New Yorker and Fernand, the Alsatian do not have any family ties.   Gennaro D'Onofrio simply amuses that one day he typed his surname into the internet, and discovered the existence of the French painter.    A twist of fate as he sought to find an artist to create the poster for the Riverrun Film Festival.    He contacted Fernand by email before meeting in New York.  Gradually, the favor of this Italian patron developed a France-American friendship between Fernand, Gennaro, and the son of Gennaro, the actor Vincent D'Onofrio, who lives just above the Tama gallery.
