Saturday Today Show - October 16, 2004

Vincent made an appearance on the Saturday edition of the Today Show this morning during the first hour. The subject of the interview, of course, was tomorrow night's episode and the subsequent voting. (Have to admit since most of the first hour was devoted to the Presidential election, I was afraid they'd rope him into that debate, too!)

We have just uploaded the clip of his interview, as well as some screen caps, for those of you who may have missed it.

What a great surprise for a Saturday morning - Vincent rarely does interviews, so it was an unexpected delight. I can't imagine any VDO admirer or LOCI viewer NOT watching. Thanks for the quick upload - I have to admit I was watching PBS...

The show is much better this year - and Vincent is exceptional - to watch the subtle changes to Goren's character this year is facinating. I suppose it was somewhat of a risk for the series to take his character in different direction, but it works for me! Must be fun for him to stretch the character a bit.

On a purely Vincent note, still love the hair, but miss the stubble!

I saw the Today Show and enjoyed the clip again. Oh come, if he put on a bit of weight it was most likely for his OW gig. Which I hope will be accessible to his Fans. Not only did I admire Orson's work, but Vincent doing Orson (that did not sound right lol) is a double treat.
Other than looking very tired on the very early show, I thought V did a nice promo. Especially liked the part where he was a bit dazed and the announcer told him to smile and he broke out into a healthy grin on cue! very "actor" of him! I felt like saying "smile Mr Welles you're on camera!" I thought Vincent looked, what's the View word "FINE" and has never looked better. I also really like the hair - they fired the lawnmower butcher of Season 3 - Please keep it long. What can I say, a full blown talented, drop-dead handsome actor in his prime. Go get'um Vince, we are right behind you.

UPDATE - we just modified the clip of this interview to include the initial introduction, which many fans had commented on. This is just before they go to commercial and Lester Holt is summarizing the upcoming segments. When the camera goes to Vincent in the studio, Lester says it's okay for him to smile. We found we did have this portion recorded and we just added it to the start of the clip.

Enjoy!
