Oh my Mr. Phil Romano! "Why is everybody so desperate?!!!!" I did enjoy his work in this drama. This is one of crocodile tears moments along with The Subway. When V turned on the water works in this remake - oh boohoo - I went right along with him. That means he is doing his job - good acting. I don't even want to go near Subway, I still blubber - them damn maple leaves turning up to catch the rain - I am dead in the water - another 3 tissue event. Vincent you touch too many nerve endings, is that part of the storytellers job also, to suck in your audience until they feel what you are acting out??? damn, it works!!

Are these photos from Subway or from Championship Season. Aren't some from when he was filming Feeling Minnesota? I'm confused to say the least.

Mary, Viv - the caps are Championship Season - that is Phil Romano complete with wig. No they did not straighten his curls for this. He did not have any at the time. I just got off on a tangent. The character started crying - so did I. That got me off on the other crying movie for me - The Subway. Sorry did not mean to confuse you.

Gee, I never realized that was a wig! That's almost as disappointing as the Happy Accidents hand double revelation!! Loved the slimeball character of Phil Romano and loved the film. Movies that are basically ALL dialogue simply amaze me.

I never was moved to tears by this character but reveled in his quoting his father - "the biz-ih-NISS" - and his adoration of the tomato. They were original and true-to-form ethnic characterizations. THAT, if anything, would have brought me to tears!

I did know that V. wore a wig in Championship. He also wore one in Steal That Movie - not his own hair gone wild. I read on a board that V. shaved his head for Spanish Judges. Does anyone know for sure? Hair folks have those really tight caps similar to what swimmer wear? Could they give him one of those that is so real that it looks natural?

Yes, I believe he did shave his head for SJ. I believe the sequence between SJ and CS was too tight for the curly locks to grow back, so they wigged him. Please, I am only repeating opinion. Please understand, I was not on the set (don't I wish) As far as I can remember, he lost his hair (how Sampson)for 3 different roles that I know of - FMJ, SJ, and The Cell. Then of course, lolol, there was Season 3 when the butchers of set hair stylers, cut his hair so short, I swear I could see brain waves. You can tell I don't like the short do's. If you have a nice head of hair, damn, they should leave it the hell alone, unless it interfers with the character's image. Boy I sound like a wind bag - subscript Only MO, lolol
