Thanks! Great to hear a good review for once! Will be fun to hear what others have to say. I did get a kick out of Eames line about falling for married men!
My favorite quip from Eames was..."Don't flatter yourself" lol. So many good things about this episode. I feel the old Goren and Eames have come back....A really good way to celebrate the 100th.....Way to go guys......More episodes like this one please......
The acting was fine but I thought the story was weak.
A man like Bernard, pretentious and vain, would behave more like the criminal in The Extra Man episode than one who engineers home burglaries of tourists. It's hard to imagine he furnished that fancy apartment of his with what he could get fencing off home furnishings, split at least 4 ways. He was more of a risk taker and was consumed with his own charm...I see him as a Black Widower, wooing and marrying wealthy women while keeping his harem on the side rather than having a gang drugging tourists and stealing stereos and couches. The story didn't do that character justice.
Plus, for hardened criminals, his two women accomplices cracked too easy...notwithstanding Goren's prowess at interrogations, I would think that a woman who'd been on a criminal spree for 20 years would need more than a mere mention of Nicole Wallace to fall on her sword. Unbelievable.
But I did like the ending though...how fitting that it was one of Bernard's creation that did him in.
Congratulations to the crew and cast for going the distance to 100!
