New Photos added

Unfortunately, the ugly watermarks have to be placed on everything. Photos are being taken daily for Ebay and elsewhere, so we won't be putting up any more 'inventory' for those uses. Ebay apparently is not willing to remove the auctions.

Regrets to everyone who just want to enjoy the content, and thank you to those ladies who wrote in to let us know about where the photos are going.

They are beautiful and thank you for posting them. It is a sad state of affairs when such measures HAVE to be taken, but I totally respect your right to ownership and those of copyright.
Better to see them with watermarks than not at all.

Totally Gorgeous - thank you.
I guess we all appreciate why they have to be watermarked. A sad state of affairs but I'll take him any way, especially sprawled in that chair............oh MY!!!!

I am *truly* sorry that The Reel's photos are still being wrongfully appropriated and sold on ebaY and I am unfortunately not surprised that ebaY is (as I expected) doing nothing to stop the offending auctions.

I am taking a radical step: I am *not* going to watermark my images at The Vault. If people want to take them and resell them then shame on them. However most people who visit here will realize that my images are available for their personal noncommercial use at my flickr pages and at my blog so hopefully with the appropriate amount of publicity within the potential market, most of the online trade in my images for financial gain will be squelched by the superior knowledge this blog and its associated website provide.

Besides I own the originals so it's no big deal if someone only wants digital copies for their personal amusement. I can share that much with others with no loss to myself.

Rest assured that I am working on a 'dishonor roll' of those who resell wrongfully appropriated images -- I will post it to my blog and update it as needed. It should help keep VDO fans from financially supporting those who are too lazy or dumb or dishonest to support themselves by selling 100% authentic memorabilia. And any link from my Legitimate Memorabilia Dealers section of my blog sells 100% authentic movie & TV memorabilia.

Oh and BTW, the owners of The Reel can not only repost whatever I post (and make wallpapers, collages, backgrounds, headers, etc), they have an official invitation to view the collection in person should they find themselves in my part of the USA (Virginia).

Oh, and another option would be to install gallery software like Coppermine and make people register to get the full size images. At least if people eBay them then you'll have some idea of who it is.

Thanks so much! these are fantastic pics - watermarks & all- and a reel treat.
Just don't buy that stuff you see on Ebay. They can't sell if there's no market.

Yes, those are great photos !! The chair shot is my fave !!

So sad that people could care less about stealing other peoples stuff. Regardless of the watermark, they look nice. :)

These are really Great photos of Vincent! Thanks for sharing them with his fans! I was looking at a site called "Old/New photo Slideshow",and he was with Two Young Children,NYC,2004. I know he has a Son who is now 5 yrs.old, but does anyone know who the other Child is? Vincent was holding his/her Hand a lot,and I was wondering if he has another young child? Thanks!

Oh no!! It's a pity!! I can't believe it. Don't ruin this wonderful pics with such ugly watermarks. It's terrible. But if you think you have to place these marks on the pics for saving them, please don't place them right over Vincents sweet face. I think one watermark on every picture will be enough.

On his face?

All I use the photos for my personal wallpaper and that's it.

I agree with what someone else here stated - try one of the PHP-based galleries such as Coppermine and make people sign up for an account.

JMHO, anyway.
