Writer of plays has seen TV's craziness

Former LOCI Writer, Theresa Rebeck, developed "The Scene," a satire of the entertainment business that has its premiere tonight at Actors' 30th Humana Festival in Louisville, KY.

...What is it like to write scripts for television?
Some of the stuff that goes on is so crazy. It's very political; it's very hysterical. … And I don't understand it. It's a great job -- you get to tell stories and it's exciting to see your name on television. It's fun. So I think, why do people turn a great deal into something where people behave so poorly? …. I'm still puzzled about this…. The play ("The Scene") is a little bit about this.
