I'm confused.....Wasn't that picture taken back in April 2001? And weren't Vincent and Carin divorced in 2003?
I thought they'd divorced.

I think they are divorced but they are obviously still friends - at the least.
kind of hard to avoid somebody when you have a kid together. but assuming that's really what he was doing at the store, it's nice to see they've at least maintained a friendly relationship.
there is always a chance for them to rekindle their relationship. lucky carin!

aaahh... so romantic... vincent and his wife... lolling around the park... watching their little elias fly a kite... they are sooooo much in love he can't help himself buying stuff so early this year. it is so relaxing to hear that vincent is having a wonderful time with his family while chris noth's team are filming loci, dont you all agree, VDO fans???
As long as he's happy, I'm happy! I always felt bad that he took the LOCI job to spend more time with his family and it cost him his marriage in the end, so like I said, as long the beloved VDO is happy...and whoever he's with, they are very lucky ;-)

He's definitely gotten divorced.

The picture in the Post is definitely a current one with grey hair and a mustache and goatee. If he's shopping in Marni's it would definitely be for either his wife or teenage daughter as Marni's is a Boutique specializing in women's clothes from europe (Which sounds right up Carin's alley given that her children's boutique has largely European clothes)
IF Vincent is getting back to gether with his ex-wife he wouldn't exactly be the first man to do so (especially not the first man with children by an ex-wife)

IMDB says they're divorced. Most places say they're divorced, but they could be getting their information from the "wrong" NYPost article. If it is wrong...

Curiously enough, the internet seems to be about 50/50 as to whether he and Greta Scacchi were ever married. Some site say they were together for several years but never married. Some sites say they were married from 1991-1993.
Vincent D'Onofrio's love life is bloody hard to pin down. Enjoy the debate, but good luck getting a straight answer. Someone should ask him...

Lisa- Jet Blue is flying from BNA for $69 to NYC/JFK most flights. When a big deal comes, we should take it and go "Vincent Watching!" (Kindof like Whale watching, but a lot more fun and better view). Sorry, until I'm done with grad school in May at TNU, I am doing things cheaply! Youn understand. :)

Thanks for the picture-have only seen one other picture of Carin and that was from the premiere of "Happy Accidents".
I'm sure if Vincent was spotted at this store then he was there but I doubt that they asked him who he was buying a gift for but I looked up their website and it is definitely an upscale women's boutique-they have a cute litte purse that looks like a change purse for $234.00 and by the way, a pair of undies for only $81.00-way out of my league.
The NY Post isn't exactly the most reliable source in the world. That's the paper which reported that VDO was so upset by Dubya's re-election, that he collapsed and got into fights with the crew. The part about VDO collapsing was true, but everything else (Dubya, fighting with the crew) was a fabrication.
even though they got divorced in 2003, vincent still mentions his ex-wives and kids. but, he spends a lot with his kis more. there was an article back in 2004, regarding of his fainting spells, he stated that his ex-wives and kids were SO worried of his health. that proves that carin still have a heart for vincent. well if they still love each other. that's great news. let's just respect what makes our vincent happy. you're such a LUCKY woman, carin!!!
of course they're divorced, but it's a nice gesture to buy a christmas gift for her anyway. i think it's nice to see that vincent get's along with his kids' mothers that well and that there are no hard feelings or anything after they got divorced. i mean, how many people can say that they are good friends with their ex-wives?
I think it would be great if they got back togeather. I remember his performance in Thumbsucker, I thought he looked deeply sad and I think it was when the divorce was happening. I hope they can work out their differences cos I think he loves her.

Hmmm, thinking about this, I very much doubt Vincent would turn around to someone in a store and say 'I'm shopping for my (ex) wife' - and why would he?! So it's probably a case of someone saw him buying gifts for a lady (could be for Leila for all we know), put 2 and 2 together, and as usual, made a fraction ;0)

Wow, some women accept that a celebrity is married, some women accept he's single, and some women risk their lives when find out that he's secretly married and have kids without telling anything on a tabloid.
Reminds me of baka (it means fool) Japanese women of long, long ago which the fans of Hong Kong's Superstar, Jackie Chan-san. When learned of his secret marriage and son, one of the fans insanely jumped off the train. And one sneaked into Jackie Chan-san's office and slashed herself in front of him.
That was pretty stupid.
I would let my honey fantasize herself with Vincent-san's character Det. Robert Goren all she wants, but I would NEVER let her fantasize with real person such as Vincent-san or any actor she falls in love with.

Page six of The New York Post is the celebrity/gossip page-I'm sure that they got it correct when they say he was there and I'm sure the store likes having the publicity that a celebrity was shopping in their store but like I said before I doubt that anyone would ask him or if he told the salesrep who he was shopping for, they wouldn't disclose that information because obviously they would want him to come back to the store-so for whomever the gift is, as a Vincent fan, I am just thrilled to have some recent news about him.
From all I can find he is divorced...not that it is a big deal*shrug*.
It is cool that she has a toy store,from what I read.Called Son And Daughters.Sounds very eco sensitive and culturally friendly.
geez... who cares if he's married, divorce, or single, or returning to his ex-wife, what i wanna know if he's ok or not. there is no news or interviews or guestings from vdo lately except chris noth and julianne nicholson. i don't have faintest idea what's happening to him now since! if he's shopping, then I AM RELIEVED AND HAPPY that he's doing fine! let us stop discussing his private life as long as HE IS FINE and in good condition. if he plans to reconcile, then we all should be happy for him.

I am definitely NOT a fan of Vincent, nor his show, but I am a man like him. I don’t blame Vincent D’Onofrio for not freeing this woman of Fashions. She’s a super HECKUVA HOT LASS! And younger, too!
Here’s the thing… they may have divorced, but kept on meeting each other for the sake of their six-year-old little “Elias”, well, that’s great news! Vincent and Carin probably had unforgettable memories together and wouldn’t let those happiest times to go away. Something in Carin which Vincent truly loves and won’t let her go. He must have missed her so terribly. They really are meant for each other and no power on earth will ever come between them except the one from above. They may have still pain inside, but time will heal. Frankly speaking, He and Carin are PERFECT for each other. So… let’s respect their privacy and get the show on the road.

This is to hosheryapin, you say that his sister still says hat they are married how did you find out?
wikipedia is not a reliable source, either. it's written by regular people, and unfortunately it's full of misinformation. but if he and his wife did reconcile, good for them! maybe his insistence on protecting his personal life has paid off.
Well, Wikipedia doesn't say that anymore. And I think it seems to have shown itself to be a pretty poor communicator of info...VDO info anyway.....should I think we should take all that with a pinch of salt. ;-)

I won't deny my admiration of vdo and his awesome talent, but where his private and personal life is concerned, that is exactly what it is.
however, everybody for your information, we are n-o-t married, we are n-o-t lovers and he is n-o-t even dating me... LOL... shame he doesn't know what he's missing, but he would need an enormous sense of humour :>)

Hi all. Isn't it humorous how everyone debates poor Mr. D'Onofrio's love life. I've uploaded two PDFs of recent interviews to my own webspace (see URLs below). The content and VDO's own quotes should clear up the "official" details, but please remember the poor man may have, in fact, since reconciled with his ex. And what would be so bad about that?

Whoever VDO was shopping for at Marni is lucky. It's a high-end womens' and menswear boutique along the lines of Mui Mui and Prada. After all, maybe he was shopping for himself???

Mr. VDO must have a terrific taste when it comes to shopping for men, too. I think I'll go shopping with him!! I'm a worst shopper when getting something nice for the man of my life. I wish he goes on tour!!!
