The "New and Improved" "Law & Order" Franchise
From 411Mania.com
by Bryan Kristopowitz
December 4, 2006
Coming in second, "Law & Order: Criminal Intent," the show that highlights cases from Manhattan's "Major Case Squad." Up until last year, the show was the personal playground of Detective Robert Goren (Vincent D'Onofrio) and to a lesser extent his partner Alexandra Eames (Kathryn Erbe). Despite the initial show advertising of how the show was about "crime from the criminal's point of view" or some such, the show quickly became all about how Goren uses his insanely accurate pwers of detection to get the bad guys. The show usually ended with the bad guy (or bad guys) in the interrogation room with Goren laying out the whole criminal scenario and getting the bad guy to confess (and, really, the bad guys has to at that point since Goren figured the whole thing out and there is no defense against it).
