Cannot wait to see whom they cast, but is that the right age group, if he is older than Goren, whom is 2 years younger than Vincent as he was born in 1961 then he should be 53-4 yrs old.
Whoa! I honestly wasn't expecting that! Insane! It should be interesting to see who they cast. Needless to say, it will be an interesting and intense episode! And now I'm very freakin' excited. =)
Very exciting-I won't even venture a guess-Rita Moreno was such a pleasant surprise that I just can't wait to see who gets the part-Michael and Robert-great names for brothers-Regi.
I saw "See Me" last night and I think the fellow who played the eye doctor would be a good choice. I am not sure how old he is though, proably too young... but he could probably play older. I confess that I haven't a clue who would be appropriate - I just hope he does a good job and the episode is great.
Who is Danny Huston, speedy? Has he been on CI before?
I would like to vote for actor William Fichtner to play Michael Goren. According to imdb, he was born in 1956. Fichtner and VDO were in "Strange Days", he played VDO's police partner. I've seen him in other stuff and he's a good actor.
I think casting VDO's brother could be tough. You are looking for a guy who looks like he could be be his older brother and has acting chops. If you want the brothers to look something like each other (and if Vincent can't get his buddy Vince Vaughn to play the part-made to look older than he is), then trying to find a guy who is close to 6 ft 4 with the same general facial features and coloring won't be a piece of cake.
Might be easier not to worry so much about the other actor looking too much like him and explaining it away as one looks like Mom the other like Dad.
Danny Huston is John Huston's son, Angelica's half brother. He was great in "The Proposition," and has been in lots of stuff - see him on IMDB.
Of course, it's a bit more literal a choice than other guys who have played his brother - Keanu Reeves? I guess I'm thinking they're going to beat the crap out of each other at some point so they should at least be roughly the same size. :)
Okay, I liked that someone said William Fichter. He plays "dark" well and is a compelling actor. Is he still on "Prison Break"? That could make him unavailable. Here are a couple of more ideas...Ray Liotta (about 5 years older than Vincent) or Michael Madsen (just slightly older than Vincent). Both have done the "troubled guy" roles well and Madsen was quite good as Vincent's "bad boy" brother in "The Winner". I think they could have good chemistry and tension on the small screen.
I like the idea someone made of Oliver Platt.... he's about the same height and build, they could pull it off, plus he has talent, I think it would work out great. JMO

Michael Goren huh? And he's in 50's??? He sounds like my uncle's age!
Thanks for sharing!
wow! bobby's brother is coming to town! finally we get to see what his big brother is like.

VDO is 47. Born June 30, 1959.
Bobby is 45. Born August 20, 1961.
So if his brother is late forties, early fifties, it fits.
Interesting! I can't wait to see this!

I'm also curious who they will choose .. John Travolta? ;-)
Okay, let's play a game: Who would we cast? Top of my list, though he's a bit younger, is (no, not Vince Vaughn!) Danny Huston. Thoughts?

@speedy: I suggested John Travolta, but I guess it wasn't approved by the admin?! ;-)

There it is! Sorry about that.
How about Tim Robbins?
He's the right age and height.
I think he could pull off looking/acting like a "Goren".
Ooooh, Tim Robbins would be fabulous!

Kid in my Drama class could do it if he were older. He's intense, tall, broad, dark haired, talented, and...16. -_- Damn the whole age thing...

Oh, sorry, I was too impatient .. :-o
Keanu is younger, but oh well .. Vincent and Keanu in a episode of CI, dreams should come true! ;-)
Jeff Goldblum.

Dear Debbie-
I agree on Michael Madsden-thought they were very good as brothers in The Winner.
