Awesome news!! I am so glad Vincent is going to do some films during his break - it will be wonderful to see him on the big screen again.
Thanks so much for letting us know - I will definitely be looking for these when they are released!

Wonderful news - and please Vincent, be in them for more than 5 minutes. OH! and it would be nice if you were still breathing in them as the end credits roll. Thank you so much sweetheart ;0)

It would also be nice if they got released in the UK. But just knowing he's going to be doing some stuff is great news.

Looks like someone may be taking a couple of more roles on the other side of the law...it's been a while since you know who was mobbed up (like 'Salton Sea' I guess or 'Case Of Evil').

I'm really psyched to see VDO working with Ethan Hawke again...they really work well together. Let's hope everything goes okay and doesn't get stuck in development hell the way 'Little Victories' did (Joe Pantoliano couldn't get enough money to do that movie...a pity).

I know this is selfish, but PLEASE don't let this mean that Vincent will not be returning to Criminal Intent!

Of course we want him in films, but not seeing him every other week on TV would be sheer torture, especially if the series continued on without him.

Don't worry! This is just so he doesn't get bored during the spring-summer!

Who knows, maybe his health is picking up, meaning his energy is picking up, MEANING, he'll be able to appear on more than 11 episodes a season!

Who knows? :O !

Hope you are right, animelee. He should have enough time, especially if that role in Staten Island isn't a main one. It's not one of the three leads, I checked IMDB. Looks like he will be playing the Father in The Narrows. The age is about right.

If CI is scheduled for Sundays after football season, as Dick Wolf wants, that would really give VDO time to tie up outside projects this summer.

Something to consider, perhaps, for the renewal negotiations?

I am glad that VDO has a new film he is shooting now in NY...as he doesn't have to leave his family....I am also glad that he has other things on the burner. I just hope this doesn't mean he will no longer be with CI even if it is renewed....Fingers crossed.

Thanks for the news and yes, very glad to see Vincent in new roles and happy he is able to shoot in New York as well-
Jenn, he will be shooting in New York-is your camera ready-
But yes I am worried that this means that decisions have already been made about CI-
If not, then take it easy Vincent-

I don't hide my adoration of Bobby Bobby, but I can watch the dvd's over and over if needs must... nothing lasts forever

but... Vincent back in movies is welcome news. He is an outstanding character actor and a treat to behold on the big screen.

Where does one go to see short films anyway, outside of New York? DVDs? Sundance Channel?

It's great to hear that Vincent is doing some films; 2 as a matter of fact. I'm hoping that this "great news" doesn't mean, he's left LOCI??
