The cast and crew of the new musical comedy film "Hairspray" danced their way across the U. S., continuing the party that started last week in Los Angeles with an even-more glittery premiere held at New York's legendary Ziegfeld Theatre, and a huge after party at Roseland. Not only was the whole cast back out in force, from Michelle Pfeiffer, Queen Latifah, Christopher Walken, Amanda Bynes, Zac Efron, James Marsden, Brittany Snow, and newcomer Nikki Blonsky to cross-dressing star John Travolta and wife Kelly Preston, who stole the red-carpet show in a teal blue David Meister cocktail dress that wowed the assembled crowd.
Fans of the John Waters' movie-turned-Broadway-show-turned-movie-yet-again included Katie Holmes, Paula Abdul, Bernadette Peters, Liza Minnelli, Nathan Lane, Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara – pretty much anyone who is anyone and in New York at the moment turned up. Harry Hamlin and Lisa Rinna were on hand, too, along with Ralph Macchio, Alexa Vega, Edie Falco, Kathryn Erbe, Lance Bass, and Clive Davis.

Maeve looks like Kathryn's twin, but shorter! Very cute, thanks for posting. I'm looking forward to seeing this movie with my daughter too!

swimfish, the only thing I can think of is for you to visit Chelsea Piers, 23rd street & 12th Ave (Hudson River)and see if you can spot one of them going in or out of the studio building. Seeing them there or anywhere in Manhattan is a long shot, unless you have shooting locations, which I don't know how to find. I just went down there recently to browse the area. It was fun just to walk in VDO's footsteps. Went to eat at the Chelsea Square Diner, which I know he's eaten at.
if anyone can catch this in time today is the cast of Hairspray on the Oprah Winfrey show. Very interesting to see John Travolta playing a woman

Katie's daughter might not be so petite after all. If you go to the photo's of Katie on IMDB there is a full length one of her at the hairspray premier and she has on some very tall heels. If her daughter has on flats (daughter is not picutred in this one) and comes up to her shoulder like she does here she could be pretty tall. Lovely copper hair on this girl.

Her daughter's a doll. She looks like her Dad (the eyes) if you all have ever seen pics of Terry Kinney.
I was just thinking that actually, she does look a bit like her dad.
