From ENewsI.com
9.26.07

Law & Order: Criminal Intent moves to the USA Network starting on October 4th. This week NBC Universal held a press conference with two of the show's stars, Vincent D’Onofrio, and Kathryn Erbe. Here is a transcript of the interview.

Operator: Hello and welcome to the Law & Order: Criminal Intent press conference. At the request of NBC, this conference is being recorded for instant replay purposes. With us today are Mr. Vincent D’Onofrio, and Miss Kathryn Erbe of Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Mr. Brad Bernstein of USA Network, and Miss Carol Janson of NBC.

Vincent D'Onofrio: Hello?

Kathryn Erbe: Hi.

Carol Janson: Criminal Intent is moving to the USA Network, and there are going to be ten original episodes starting October 4 at 10 pm. And in the spring there will be 12 original episodes. So this is the whole season, in case anybody is confused, because they also run the syndicated shows of Law & Order: Criminal Intent.

Operator: Our first question is from Matt Liebowitz of Flash News.

Matt Liebowitz: Hi, guys. How are you?

Vincent D'Onofrio: Hi.

More.

Thanks to a friend for this submission.

First he was much more of a talker than I thought. They seemed to finish each other sentences a few times and there will never be a Goren without an Eames. Thank you so much for posting that.
Loved when they talked about their kids.

OMG!! This is the best interview I've ever read! Very lengthy, with so much juicy info about the show, the character development & VDO & Kate's personal lives.

Can anyone find a link to a the actual press conference audio interview? Or is that not available?

I'm going to have to finish reading this later (got to go to work--sigh). Great interview. One of the best ever with these two. I love how they say their kids run their lives! Sounds like their kids see all this attention on their parents and think, "OMG, if they only knew how he/she really is . . ." LOL!! Thank God someone finally did a press conference and is posting something decent!

Thank you for this interview! Some of the questions were so dumb, I wonder just how professional these reporters are. But I did enjoy the interaction between Vincent and Kate, and the answers they gave. (especially the 7 Eleven comment)It's nice to know they are as happy as we are to be continuing with their roles. Fans often worried that they just wanted out after so long. But knowing they enjoy their work and each other makes me feel good too. It also makes me feel good that their new network - usa - appreciates them and recognizes their talent. I cannot wait for 10/4 and the upcoming season!

Absolutely awesome! I just love that this was a format they were both comfortable with, which meant they could bounce off each other and have some fun whilst answering the questions. Off to go and read it all 'properly' now but thank you so much for posting this. Season 7 is going to be amazing....

I agree with your comment about the questions susan1212 :) ... that's why they got funny answers. Vincent D'Onofrio's comment about not knowing if LOCI's move to USA is "historic" had me LOL :)

Thanks for the post and a big Thank you to the USA network, Vincent and Kate for doing this interview-
Just wonderful hearing from them-
Not the greatest questions from the reporters, many repetitive, but it was great to hear their comments none the less-
And yes great to hear that they both seem happy and have had a great hiatus with their families-
Anxiously awaiting the new season one week from today-
Regi.

I totally agree with you Marion... amazing. Anyone else already pondering 'the last line' in hour three??

karina, are you referring to Erbe's comment about the last line in the third episode, where is looks to her as if Goren is "okay?"
If you are, than I was too.

I wonder if being OK means that Goren settles the Brady dilemna?

OMG yes, Karina. Positively fretting about it ^_^ But right now I just can't wait for the fourth.

What a treat for us fans! Thanks to all involved.
It's great to hear they're so into the character-driven route the show has taken. Glad that's keeping them engaged. What a turn-around from last season when we heard Vincent was looking to leave and direct.
Loved all the comments about their kids, too.
It was cute that Vincent missed the arias and fun in Courtney's office. I miss Courtney and Jamey too.

Wow. so much talking!
They seem easy in themselves.Lovely to hear them talking so freely, stumbling over the questions to give answers, and the right focus for the occasion.
Nice to start the season this way.

I finally finished it--fun. Yes, agree with Susan1212--some of the questions are really dumb and I can almost be certain that one of the reporters is from my hometown newspaper reporting for the news service; trust me, he's an idiot.

Again, I liked hearing about the family and also that everyone seems to be a little more relaxed than on NBC.
