Kate Erbe to help libraries

Buying toys can help libraries
BY RACHEL MONAHAN, 10.17.07
City school libraries will get a boost today when Caroline Kennedy helps a group of Brooklyn stores raise money for books to get more kids reading.
Kennedy, who will be joined by borough stars Maggie Gyllenhaal and Kathryn Erbe, will encourage shoppers at the Acorn toy store on Atlantic Ave. to spend so their money can be used to beef up school libraries. Shop for Class, a program that benefits schools, has recommended that Acorn and other participating shops donate 2% of their sales during the promotion. More.

Sounds like an excellent cause-good job, Kate-
Regi.
That's so nuts, I was just doing research on the coverage this program was getting for my job (we work with PR and Marketing firms). Stupid network broadcasts not mentioning KE...
I would have taken my lunch break at Acorn Toy Store instead of the corner deli!
It's always great when a celeb gives back to the community. High five to KE!
Its nice to see all this support for libraries and reading in an age of technology.Books are often the lifetimes experience of a writer in a way that the internet can never supply. So when you read a book you are often reading that person's life story. there is no substitute for that.
Does Shop For Class have a website?
Thanks
