Top 5 TV Detectives - add your vote!

sent in by Boohoo650 - thank you!

From MSNBC.com

5Top: TV Detectives

Det. Robert Goren “Law & Order: Criminal Intent”
Some may argue that old-school Det. Lennie Briscoe (Jerry Orbach), with his endless bad jokes at the corpse’s expense, is greatest cop ever on the endless “Law & Order” franchise. Compared to the ultimate gumshoe, it’s easy to miss the nuances of Det. Robert Goren (Vincent D'Onofrio) of the Major Case Squad. It’s more than the obnoxious way Det. Goren uses his hulking frame to invade a suspect’s personal space, or that he’s apparently smarter than Encyclopedia Brown. Det. Goren’s brilliance is revealed in the quiet moments, when he untangles wind chimes behind a witness who is being questioned by his partner, Det. Eames (Kathryn Erbe). It’s the way he switches non sequiturs mid sentence. It’s how he often seems to be on the verge of a psychotic break. Det. Goren is truly a detective for the 21st century.

Eric Bogosian's "Talk Radio" Premiere, NYC

March 12, 2007
By Howard Shapiro

NEW YORK - Watching the Broadway premiere of Eric Bogosian's Talk Radio is a lot like watching your radio. That alone makes it a theatrical toughie.

Despite a soaring performance by all-around actor Liev Schreiber, who plays the erratic host of Cleveland's Night Talk radio show, plus an array of impressive off-stage voices representing his vacuous callers, Talk Radio is caught in an irony: It's an hour-and-40-minute study of America's most grotesque marketplace of ideas, where the merchants are shoddy and the shelves are empty, and what the play portrays is what it becomes. The play is often funny and takes stabs at being poignant, but like the callers streaming through its single act, it's ultimately hollow. More.

Not going, going......

From TVGuide.com
Ausiello Report
March 6, 2007

"Despite what Vincent D'Onofrio allegedly told an Aussie publication, the actor insists he does not have one foot out the door at Law & Order: CI.

"I am not leaving Law & Order: Criminal Intent and have every intention of fulfilling my contractual obligations on the show," he said in a statement issued by his rep. "I still find playing the role of Robert Goren interesting and enjoy working with the writers, cast and crew of Criminal Intent."

Once more with feeling, buddy?

This all may be a moot point anyway, since the chances of CI seeing another season are iffy at best. Which brings me to my next question: Would anyone miss it?"

Thanks Pat and Linda
