Franco-American D'Onofrio

Yesterday, a visitor to the site forwarded a link to the website of Vincent's French 'cousin', French Painter Fernand d'Onofrio along with an article (in French) regarding his exhibition at the Tama Gallery in Tribeca in 2006.

We contacted him and he kindly gave us his permission to post the article, information regarding his work, and association with the D'Onofrio family. He also provided several photographs of himself with Vincent and Gennaro D'Onofrio at the Tama Gallery in Tribeca, New York City.

Thank you to Mr D'Onofrio for allowing us to share this with everyone.

Thank you to Jane-Emily for forwarding the link to us, and to our friend, Supersam for his computer help.

Thank you very much to all involved for the link and the photos-

Note to admin:
I hope this was Vincent's old address and not his new one since you had the notice on the sale of his apartment-would hate to see that tactless people would know where Vincent lives-
Sorry just had to point that out-
Regi.

By the way, when I opened up your site and saw the headline of the artilce, I thought that Vincent and Carin had a son and named him Franco-
Have got to start wearing my glasses-

The article is outdated and the translation is loose.

Not the best photos of Vincent IMO, but candid photos are sometimes so-so. Thanks for the posting. The last couple look like he's dressed to film LOCI.

I seem to remember getting a Google alert about a French jockey with the lovely surname 'D'Onofrio'. Many thanks for the link and the pictures.

Strange observation, I guess, but he and his dad have the same hands, the same shape-- and ears. Two of those odd things I tend to notice, I guess because I used to draw and paint and spent a lot of time flipping through books of sketches of hands and faces. LOL That's about all you can tell from the profile. I don't think I've ever seen a picture of his father before.

This is great - those pics were interesting. His tie clip - anyone else notice that? Was he in "bobby attire" or is that how he wears them all of the time? I have always thought that it was such a funny debate and then after 'Amends' I couldn't help but notice them!
Thanks for the article and the pics.

Thanks karina! I thought it was just me, but my eyes went right to the tie clip! lol Hopefully he is just dressing for LOCI and not 'about town'.

Thanks for sharing the article!

Regina, I thought the same thing, that Vincent & Carin had a baby boy & they named him Franco, LOL!

OK, where is this baby? She must be due soon. I feel like a nosy member of the family!

Thanks for this. It looked to me as though he was chewing one of those tea tree sticks in one picture. I wonder if he's giving up smoking again, or are these s couple of years old?

Fascinating! Thank you for taking the trouble to post these.

I am so glad that I am not the only one who fixated on the tie-clip. One could almost imagine that Vincent was on a break from filming LOCI. Now, who volunteers to watch all the episodes that were being filmed at about that time, looking for that same tie/suit combination??

I'm quite sure the last thing on Vincent's mind will be to let the public know his family news - for all we know, baby D'Onofrio may already be here.

I'd like to nominate myself for The Saddest Muppet Of A VDO Fan award - I've just had a good look through the screencaps on "The Velocity Of Vincent" and have decided that he is wearing the same combination - grey shirt, dark suit, stripy tie and tie clip - as he was wearing for ITWSH. Which might, I think, have been filmed at about this time.

Hi lozzie cap. I will have to nominate myself for 2nd 'Saddest Muppet OF A VDO FAN' award. I think this picture is his Detective Goren outfit from the last scene of 'False Hearted Judges'. Whichever, he sure is a hunk.
