Striking Writers Man Manhattan Lines Outside ‘One Life To Live’

Amidst rain and hail Friday, the striking Writers Guild of America East held a “large-scale” picket outside the One Life To Live studios in Manhattan.
More than 125 WGA members manned the lines, and when their picket signs got soaked they wrote their messages on their yellow rain slickers, which became billboards proclaiming the “On Strike” message.
The chant of the day, according to the WGA, was “We’re wet, we’re cold, but we will not fold.”
Tina Fey, Eric Begosian, Vincent D’Onofrio, Katie Erbe and screenwriter Bill Goldman joined the picketers today, as did WGA East president Michael Winship and executive director Mona Mangan. more
Thanks Linda! Thanks to Denise for the photo!

Thanks Denise!

Are our LOCI actors great or what!
Congratulations to everyone who participated in the picketing today-saying it was just rain would be an understatement-torrents of rain with blustery winds would be more like it-now that's courage of your convictions-
Regi.
I hope those who were on his case for not showing enough public support choke on their apologies to him (not that they'll make any of course!).
Well said, Diane.
As Regina said, the weather here in NY was horrible yesterday!
Kudos to VDO, Kate, Eric & all the rest who braved it for the WGA.
Please AMPTP, be fair to the writers & settle this already.
Vincent and Kate, our heroes-
Regi.
Good for them. Funny how the critics have been quiet through this.
The caption should read:
"If you don't quote me accurately I'll crush you like a bug!"
Always good to see the actors/stars banding together with the writers! They carry a great deal of influence with the AMPTP.
Hopefully VDO and KE's poofy looking coats were able to keep them warm while standing strong with the WGA.
Hopefully the Soap Studios well get the message...and we can spare these hardworking men and women from drowning in the rain again!
Did everyone get to see the group shots taken on this day, as well? Kate's and Vincent smiles were just ... ~clunk~ ... wonderful.
Thank you Denise-what a great photo-glad they could still smile in that weather-
Regi.
