More about Goren's family --

TV Q&A with Rob Owen
Q: The last Goren-Eames episode of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" before last summer's break was called "Endgame" and starred Roy Scheider as a serial killer who contacted Robert Goren (Vincent D'Onofrio) before the killer's scheduled execution to share details of many of his other victims. It was also the episode where Goren's mother died, and as more details of the killer's past crimes were discovered, it became evident that there had been a relationship between Bobby's mother and the killer and that he might even be Bobby's father. We left Bobby pretty traumatized by this knowledge and by his mother's death, and though he still looked pretty shaken in the first fall show, he rallied to help solve the murder of Alex's husband, and no mention has been made to date of the cloud over Bobby's parentage. Did they just decide to drop this question? Also, was this perhaps one of Roy Schieder's last roles before his death?

Rob: According to a publicist for the show, late in the next season of "Criminal Intent," Goren's complicated family story will be revisited: "In addition to questions about Goren's paternity, there are also unresolved 'issues' between Goren and his brother (Tony Goldwyn), and his brother's son (Donny, played by Trevor Morgan). One, or both of them, is likely to reappear in Bobby's life."

Look, I'm already in a frenzy of anticipation for what's happening with Bobby, this is only adding to the torture of the wait...but thank you for posting anyway ;0)
What a great find, Susan!
Now we know that Goren will find out about the whole "Brady/Daddy" issue & that Frank & Bobby will deal with each other again!
And maybe Donny too..
WooHoo!
Thank you, Susan1212, and TheReel, for sharing this news! Six more weeks to go before airtime! I can’t wait much longer. I am very impatient person.
I always felt that somewhere they would resolve the paternity issue but great to hear that Tony Goldwyn might be back on again-
Regi.
I love that they're not going wait another season to bring Donny and Frank back into the mix. Good times.
Actually donnajo, we don't 'know' any such thing. There's nothing in this tidbit to suggest anything is going to be resolved, just that it may well be revisited.
diane, if they aren't going to resolve the paternity issue, than why bring it up in an episode? That doesn't make sense.
IMO, we will learn whether or not Brady is Goren's biological father.
Dibs on that he is not.
Because it would be completely characteristic for TPTB to bring something up and leave it unresolved! :P
I hope that they do, for what it's worth. I just don't want it to be dropped, as is the story with so many things in the LAOU.
Ha! Why does it matter so much?
Cant we live with uncertainties anymore?
Why do they have to resolve the paternity issue anyway? Even Frances Goren wasn't sure, so perhaps, like Bobby, we'll never know. They don't have to cross all the t's and dot all the i's as far as I'm concerned,I don't necessarily want everything tied up in a neat little package with a ribbon on it. Whatever happens, it's going to be interesting to find out (90 days and counting)
LOL Janet!
Well, my reason for being so emphatic is that I was remembering a Vincent interview where he told the fans to be patient, that the issues we were faced with in Endgame would be resolved. So that's why I'm assuming that they will address the Brady/Daddy issue.
But alexandra may be right, they may have decided to torture us further.
God, I hope not.
I don't mind much if we never find out... I like speculation. I just would be so sad if we never found out anything else... about anything related to this topic. I would like to have MORE to speculate on. :) I just don't want this topic to be left behind, like Alex's kidnapping.
Look at it this way;ambiguity kept the sites buzzing long after last season finished. Certainty might silence us!
I think BOBBY needs to know, as he told his mother, whether we do or not.
OK leave it to the fan fic writer here to fix the stor. Donny is hurt or sick and needs some sort transplant that must be a genetic match ( a bone marrow transplant, a kidney, whatever) for a cure. Frank isn't a match and needs Bobby to be tested. Maybe Bobby doesn't see the point, if Frank doesn't match why would he? (Give us a nice angsty scene between the brothers, wouldn't it), then Bobby could do the testing and voila he does match. That would make him wonder about his paternity (maybe he just matched because he had enough of his mom's genes and Frank didn't. Finally Rogers saves the day by doing a kinship analysis which shows Bobby and Frank have the same Dad (same y chromosome, which means they are either both Goren's kids or both Brady's).
