Having premiered its seventh season on its new home, USA Network, Law & Order: Criminal Intent has been picked up for an additional 16 episodes by the cable outlet. According to TVGuide.com, the added episodes begin airing June 8th. USA and NBC Universal are working to sign new deals with cast members Chris Noth, Vincent D'Onofrio, Eric Bogosian, Julianne Nicholson and Kathryn Erbe, as well as show runner Warren Leight. This makes it sound like they are going straight into Season 8 next month. I think someone's got it a little wrong, unless I've misunderstood.

I think everyone is a little confused including reporters with the schedules all mixed up due to the writers' strike-
I don't think that USA network has announced yet when the Season 8 episodes will start to air or will be shot-

I was thinking that they would start the new 16 in January, but what do I know..except
they better have nice deals to offer Vincent, Katie and Chris since they are the real face of CI and they should be getting more.
Vincent and Kathryn are what make Criminal Intent magical for me. I don't get why they always list Kathryn last in articles. She should come right after Vincent and BEFORE Chris Noth (imho)
