New episode "Ten Count"

LO:CI episode 18 titled "Ten Count" has been posted for casting. This Logan/Wheeler episode shoots June4-13th in NYC.

SEASON 7 – EPISODE 18 – “TEN COUNT”

SEEKING:

[GUS KOVAK] 50s. Old school, tough love boxing trainer/manager. Has trained brothers Gabriel and Peter Gardela for years and is like a father to them – the brothers live with him in his apartment rent free. After Gabriel is violently attacked at a bar after a controversial boxing match, Kovak is questioned by LOGAN and WHEELER about his professional and personal relationship with the brothers and with Peter’s girlfriend Kristina. (GUEST LEAD)

[PETER GARDELA] Early - Mid 20s. Middleweight boxer with a lot of potential. Volatile. Trained by Gus Kovak, who is like a father to him. Very loyal to his older brother Gabriel, who is also a successful boxer. Ambitious to become a successful fighter so that he can move out of Kovak’s place and into his own place with his girlfriend Kristina. Was mentored by LOGAN years ago when LOGAN volunteered with the Staten Island Police Athletic League. When his brother Gabriel is violently attacked at a bar after a controversial boxing match, Peter reaches out to LOGAN to help find out who is responsible. LOGAN and WHEELER then begin to question Peter’s relationship with his brother, Kristina, and Gus. (GUEST LEAD)


[KRISTINA BRODZIK] 20s. Pretty. Polish-American. No accent, but must be able to speak several lines in Polish. Devoted girlfriend of Peter Gardela, Kristina is also close to Peter’s brother Gabriel. She has recently moved out of trainer Gus Kovak’s apartment where she lived with Gus, Peter, and Gabriel. After Gabriel is violently attacked at a bar following a controversial boxing match, Kristina is questioned by LOGAN and WHEELER about her relationships with Peter, Gabriel, and Gus and her role as Peter and Gabriel’s business manager. (GUEST LEAD)


[LEONARD ROSE] 20s. African-American or Latino. Talented and cocky champion boxer. In the midst of an intense bout, his opponent Gabriel Gardela notices that Leonard is having trouble seeing and gets the ref to call the fight. The premature end to the fight enrages Leonard, even though Gabriel has likely saved his sight. When Gabriel is violently attacked at a bar later than night, LOGAN and WHEELER question Leonard about his anger towards Gabriel. PLEASE NOTATE ON SUBMISSION ACTORS WITH BOXING EXPERIENCE. [GABRIEL GARDELA] Mid 20s. Middleweight boxer on the brink of making it. He and his brother Peter are managed by Gus Kovak, who is like a father to them. During a fight with Leonard Rose, a fierce fighter who is favored to win, Gabriel notices that Leonard is having trouble seeing and gets the ref to call the fight. He is violently attacked at a bar later that night in an apparently unrelated incident. PLEASE NOTATE ON SUBMISSION ACTORS WITH BOXING EXPERIENCE. (6 scenes in teaser)


[RON STONE] 40s. Caucasian. Intelligent, ruthless boxing promoter. His clients include Leonard Rose, whose fight with Gabriel Gardela ends prematurely when Gabriel notices that Leonard is having eye trouble. After Gabriel is violently attacked at a bar later that night, Ron is questioned by LOGAN and WHEELER about his professional relationship with Gabriel and his manager Gus Kovak and whether a fix was in on the fight. (2 scenes)


[CARL KORODA] Early – Mid 40s. Beefy, retired cop. Bouncer at a bar in Queens. Witness to the beginning of a fight when Gabriel Gardela tries to defend a young woman from her violent boyfriend. After the fight escalates outside of the bar with tragic results, he is questioned by LOGAN and WHEELER about what he saw. (2 scenes)


[KRISTINA’S SISTER] 20s. Polish-American. No accent. Single mother of 3 children. Her younger sister Kristina has recently moved in with her to help take care of the kids. Questioned by LOGAN and WHEELER about whether Kristina had less selfless reasons for moving in. (1 scene)


[MACK MATSON] 40s. Owner of Mack’s Gun & Tackle in Greensville, SC. Staunch NRA supporter. Questioned by LOGAN and WHEELER about his gun-selling practices and the identity of a recent customer. (1 scene)


[DONNA BARTLETT] Mid-40s. Guardian of her daughter’s 3-year-old son. She has not seen her daughter for over a year due to her daughter’s behavior and substance abuse issues. Questioned by LOGAN and WHEELER about a gun that was purchased recently using her ID. (1 scene)


[DETECTIVE SACHS] 30s. Male. Any ethnicity. Detective who was called to a crime scene informs LOGAN that he was requested by the victim’s brother and briefs LOGAN on the details of the case. (1 scene)


[CALLIE] 20s. Very sexy. Flirts with boxer Gabriel Gardela at a Queens bar, angering her violent boyfriend. When her boyfriend gets rough with her, Gabriel comes to her defense, with tragic results. (1 scene)


[THUG BOYFRIEND] 20s – 30s. Caucasian. When he finds his girlfriend Callie flirting with boxer Gabriel Gardela, he gets violent with her and drags her outside. When Gabriel follows to come to her defense, the violence escalates with tragic results. (1 scene)


[SECOND THUG] 20s – 30s. Caucasian. Comes upon his friend about to get into a fight with boxer Gabriel Gardela. Warns Gabriel to back off and then escalates the fight to a new level with tragic results. (1 line)


[CSU TECH] 20s – 30s. Male or female. Any ethnicity. Crime scene tech. Briefs LOGAN and WHEELER about a gun found at the crime scene. (2 lines)


[DOCTOR] 30s – 40s. Male or female. Any ethnicity. Explains to LOGAN how a victim of a violent crime was killed. (1 line)


[REF] 40s. Referee during an intense bout between Leonard Rose and Gabriel Gardela. When Gabriel notices that Leonard is having trouble seeing, he gets the ref to evaluate and call the fight. (2 lines)


[SUPER] 40s – 50s. Any ethnicity. Superintendent of a tenement apartment on the Lower East side. Lets LOGAN and WHEELER into the apartment of a troubled tenant. (1 line)

Also let me just mention that all my grandparents were born in Poland and I could speak the Polish lines very well-
