I have mixed feelings about this. On one hand, I am happy they are finally being acknowleged and I hope that Vincent,Kathryn, and the writers of the show win. On the other hand, I'm not sure an Emmy would be good enough for them...their work is so superior to anyone else's. I wish them only the best.

Very good comment Susan1212-
I am very happy that the network is supporting them by submitting these episodes but I really see little hope in actual nominations based on the lack of judgment of the Emmy nominating committee the previous year-
Their Emmys are the devotion of the CI fans-
And I hope they accept that with the support and loyalty that we offer them-

Such a lovely thought Regina, that the fans are the best reward.
Its a sure sign of a quality programme when the critics fail to recognise it.Its the sign of a programme that is not a contemporary whim, but substantial and relevant.
And arent we all still here to prove that fact!

I am happy to be proved wrong - in my last post I said something about not holding my breath to see Vincent and/or Katie nominated.

I just hope the two of them (and the other people who work on the series) know HOW MUCH we appreciate their efforts ... and also how their hard work has had unexpected additional benefits - namely the wonderful friendships I have made as a result of a shared interest in LOCI.

Notwithstanding, there will be no justice in the world if Vincent doesn't win for Untethered. It was an unparalelled performance.

I am in agreement with Val, but I do not trust that justice becomes. Not understanding that still it does not have emmy and the globe of gold.

Some with to less have obtained it merit. It could mention to many

If it does not obtain it by Untethered, it will never obtain it

I'm not a betting sort of person, but I'd lay money on Vincent NOT getting the Emmy he so justly deserves.

I know you all are going to crucify me and kick me out of the 'true VDO fans' society but I am glad that 'Senseless' got so many submissions. It is such a well written episode with great performances from everyone that it's actually my first choice as the best CI episode this year. And Chris and the story just about broke my heart in it...rarely does Chris rise to the heights that Vincent does even when he's playing Logan (bar none the best role of Chris's entire career). But Chris really nailed this one and has taken playing Logan to a new level and I was so thrilled by this performance. It is nice to see Chris finally hitting his stride.

I liked what VDO did with his role in 'Untethered' okay but I thought the story was a weak, poorly written, soapy one. It would be nice to see him get an Emmy for playing Goren but I don't think this is the performance that deserves the statuette. The material he had to work with disappointed me although VDO was as consistently innovative and impressive as he always is. It's too bad he had to make something out of a script that was so mediocre and melodramatic.

I still think that VDO has another groundbreaking Homicide: Life On The Street 'Subway' type performance in him to give to CI (and that was a true shame that he didn't win that Emmy award although at least he was nominated) but for me 'Untethered' isn't quite it.

Still we have a whole second half of Season 7 to look forward to as well as an eighth season.

I hope next year is VDO's year for sure but I'm just not quite feeling it for 'Untethered'.

Dear VDO vault-
I won't throw you out-I agree that Senseless was a great script for Chris and was above what Logan usually has to deal with-
There are way too many CI episodes that deserved Emmy nods all around for acting and writing-
Just seems it's not to be-
I just took my DVD out of The Cell and watched it this afternoon-
I was comparing Vincent's performance with Javeier Bardem in No Country For Old Men, and I just can't see how Vincent wasn't nominated-
There are so many factors and with Bardem, I think he had the Coen brothers behind him also-
