A new and old episode of Law & Order: Criminal Intent walk into a bar...

So, I'm watching a new episode of Law & Order: Criminal Intent on USA Network this past Sunday and, like all upstanding Americans do, I was flipping through the channels during a commercial break. As I passed by these channels at the speed of light my eye caught something on Bravo. It was another episode of Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Not a new episode, mind you, just a repeat of a repeat of a repeat that Bravo airs during their Sunday night block.
Now, you're probably saying to yourself 'So what? Cable channels are allowed to air whatever they damn well please.' Well, after lecturing you about your tone of voice I would mention that you had a point. But, thanks to the wonderful world of corporate synergy, your argument would not meet the mustard. You see, Bravo is under the huge umbrella known as NBC Universal, which is the same company that owns USA Network, which is currently airing new episodes of Law & Order: CI on Sunday nights. With all of this information at hand the following question comes to mind:
Who the hell is programming these networks? Full article

I thought it was odd, too, but I didn't realize showing an old show on Bravo could draw from the new show on USA. Bravo should put something else on at 9PM.
First ~ there is no such thing as a L&O re~run!!! It is simply L&O!! :) Second, what a thing to write about after a G&E episode! Who flips during commercials? The commercials seem endless, but who wants to miss even 10 seconds of the show because they were to slow to flip back? As far as I am concerned there is no way I would miss new G&E episodes or record them to watch the older one. I do however have an extensive DVR collection of said older ones! :) G&E rock!
Its an excellent analysis and suggests what ive thought for a long time, which is there is almost a desire to see LOCI fail coming from somewhere,to make it look bad when in fact it is the best!
OK so maybe Bravo should show a Logan episode when Goren is on USA and vice versa but I agree with the channel surfing during commercials-I wouldn't dare switch the channel and miss a second of the new episode-yes maybe they are competing against themselves but I don't know how much having the repeat on takes away from the ratings-

I don't understand the argument to be honest. If it's new C.I. versus a repeat of a repeat of a repeat, personally, I wouldn't choose the oft-repeated episode, and the fact that C.I. is a ratings winner on USA (and has been renewed for an 8th year) hardly suggests a plot to kill it off. Good grief, the mothership is shown just about every single night, even in the UK.
