Is there any truth to the rumor that Vincent D'Onofrio will not be returning to Law & Order: Criminal Intent?

Yes Vincent said that they had him for as long as he wants he also said that he still enjoyed playing Goren. its Chris thats leaving.
Exactly how many more times does Vincent have to say he's not going anywhere before some people believe him?!
Nothing has been said about Vincent signing his contract, only that the deal was being worked out. Glad to hear that he's not leaving.
Nothing has been said about Vincent leaving. The thing about there still being a 'deal' to work out was one line in an article that wasn't specific to him and it hasn't been repeated anywhere else. Until and unless he says he's had enough - and he repeatedly says he's happy doing what he's doing - I won't waste time worrying about. As everyone with a brain knows, if Vincent goes, the show's over anyway...and happily we have season 8 to look forward to :)

I read that the details were being worked on but nothing since. People do change their minds and their circumstances change as well.
All I can say is gee whiz! I never imagined that something so innocuous would be met with such contentiousness.
I'd be really surprised if he left. Look at it this way--he has a baby, a young child and a renewed relationship. He has a steady job in NYC and time to do other projects or spend time with his family. I'm hoping that when he leaves, the show will just wrap up. I'd hate to have him replaced.
