excerpted- The American Mutt-i-grees Club is debuting with two components. An adult site offers expert pet advice, dog adoption referrals, shopping and travel services and other member benefits. In late September, the site will offer a social networking component where Mutt-i-grees owners can mingle and post pet profiles, blogs, and other pet-themed content. Acting as spokesperson is Katherine Erbe, who plays detective Alexandra Eames on Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Ms. Erbe, recently adopted a Mutt-i-gree from a shelter, and will spread the word that animal cruelty is a crime and that a shelter adoption is the right choice.

ABSOLUTELY ADORE KATHRYN ERBE!!
(And now it seems even more so. Squeeeee!)
The whole issue of unscrupulous pedigree breeders is a very hot topic here in the UK at the moment following a recent television programme. I find it weirdly comforting to know that Kathryn feels exactly the same way as I do about dogs. A bit like when I found out Vincent D'Onofrio is into guitars.
She's a very beautiful lady. I wonder if that is her house, and when that was filmed? She is wearing a wedding ring ...

Way to go, Kathryn! Like Vincent, we hear so little about her private life, interests and causes. Those who have met her rave about how beautiful, friendly, down-to-earth and accommodating she is. This confirms that she is also genuinely caring. For all that I go on about Vincent, I really love Kathryn as well - even more so now.

Lozzie cap made a good point about how comforting it is to learn that your favourite actors have the same habits, or concerns, as you.
Putting the face of a well-respected celebrity, to a well- respected cause, will hopefully boost the public awareness....
It's certainly the time - if not past it- for some people to know, that this world is not all about them...
I'm, basically, a cat person, but get along with dogs -surprisingly, they seem to get along with me, even better...!!
Unfortunatey, my kitties -most of all, Samantha- are not much fond of puppies....And there's a few thousand miles distance, keeping me from helping Kate's k9s...
But then again, it doesn't matter where you live; it's not like the dogs or cats are divided into "nations" or something, like we are...!!

I'm a fairly new mixed breed owner since January (2 year old lab/border collie--from our shelter of course!). Three cheers to Katherine and her support of Muttigrees!

I had to watch the spot twice because the first time I kept "awwwww"-ing over the pooch! That dog is so adorable and looks confuuuused as to why mommy is talking to a blinking machine :-p
Sigh, I wish I could afford to have a dog again...maybe if I can convince my parents that it's a temporary grandchild...

Always had a special fondness for Kate but now even more so-what a great cause she is supporting-I just love dogs,have had several in my lifetime and not a pedigree among the bunch-

And did you hear the puppy's name, Lila, not sure of the spelling but very close to Vincent's daughter-
