YES!!!!! I hope USA appreciates our favorite Detectives (especially Bobby Boy and Alex!). Does any one know way there will only be 8 episodes of G/E in season 8? I think USA needs to show Mr. D'Onofrio and Ms. Erbe how much the network appreciates them with raises and back to the 11 episodes that have been in previous years. I hate to think that USA is such a tightwad.

I'm thrilled (jumping up & down, applauding, laughing) but not surprised... not at all.

And considerng that our favourite show was actually beating the Olympics....... Wow...

But I'm sure there are quite a few surprised -startled- peolpe out there; among which, are the NBC "deciders"....!!!

They'll have quite a lot, to think about....

But fuzzytweetie (I like your screen name!); I'm not really sure, whether going back to 11 epi series, is such good idea....

With all due respect, I'm not trying to pull a wise guy here; I could watch CI 24/7, and enjoy every minute of it; but is this what Vincent and Kate would really want?

Furthermore, working in "safe mode" would give the whole cast and crew, a chance to refresh, and come up stronger, and more dedicated, than ever.

CI's already been through a shock -moving from a broadcast, to a cable- although it actualy proved to be a very wise decision, on behalf of Mr. Wolf -and a bad miss, on behalf of NBC- but it needs time, to recupprate.

So let's be patient - at least for a while. If not bruxing, or clenching, or chewing your cuticles, watching CI's re-runs and DVDs might help -just a little.

WHOO HOO - I knew it! Bravo to Vincent, Kate, the rest of the cast, crew, their parents, relatives, friends, pets.....

As to the number of episodes, it's my understanding that 16 is a 'standard' season for USA/cable, so we won't be going back to 22 again, no matter what the ratings.

8 of Vincent is always better than 0 of Vincent ;0)

Trcyk63 said, Yes! Yes! and Yes! I love the ratings for season7. They deserved it, all the writers and vincent and katie, they all work very hard and it paid off, that episode frame was phenominal all the way around, everything about it, the writing the acting was superb. They get the highest ratings i think when they bring out the personal struggles of Vincent's and katie's character and i know some of you wouldn't agree, because you would like to see Bobby Goren back to normal again, before they started going deep into his chracter's personal life. I like that to, but i still hope that in Season8 that the writers will still deal with the personal side of Bobby Goren and also Eames, and that they can produce high ratings for both couples just as the writers did in season7 maybe even better. So don't get me wrong i also would like for them to bring out the weird quirky side of Goren, that i also like alomg with the humor. Its just my opinon that keeping the personal side going once in awhile and maybe a second part of frame that would just really help the ratings tremendously so i just hope that the writers have what it takes to keep the ratings soring in season8. Congratulations to the cast and crew. Awesome episode. I'm so glad it got the ratings it deserved.

I hope TPTB at NBC now realize the error of their ways. LOCI is an exceptional show with a solid fan base and lots of fight left in it, which has been proven this season - in spades.

I'm really looking forward to November. Sure, I would love more than 8 G/E episodes but that's what fits with cable standards. I am eternally grateful to USA for the tremendous job they have done in boosting the profile of CI among their viewers. USA has treated CI as the ratings star it always could and should have been given the proper support.

In the long run, 8 episodes a year may work in our favor. Kate and Vincent will have a stable basic income, there won't be time enough for them to get bored with CI and they will have ample time to pursue other projects plus spend time with their young families. Sounds like a sweet set-up that could keep G/E around for a while.

The only fly (sorry, couldn't resist!) in the ointment could be the other 8 episodes. I, for one, intend to give Jeff Goldblum a fair chance. Hopefully he will work out well and CI will maintain its ratings week after week.

Great job on Season 7. I wonder what surprises are in store for us in Season 8. I'm excited!!!

Kudos to all concerned, but with special mention to the awesome Vincent D'Onofrio, Kate Erbe, and in this instance, John Glover. His scenes with Vincent, especially at the end, were some of the best of the whole series in my opinion.

Let's hope this FINALLY silences all the 'knockers' and that they will now go away and leave the rest of us in peace. Sadly, since they've been 'knocking' since about the end of season 2, it's probably a forlorn hope. I've never understood why those who are constantly picking fault with LOCI still seem to be watching. If I don't like something, I don't watch it! Maybe it's just so they can keep coming back to tell us how 'bad' it is these days - as borne out by the phenomenal ratings no doubt. ;)

Can't wait for season 8!!!!

CI Has certainly evolved, through the years. It has matured -gracefully.

Some of its audience have matured along with it, some have not.

But I don't believe that every picker -or "knocker", as some may call them- is ill-willed.

Some actually see something in CI, they like, but have rather different standards, and want to turn it into something it's not - Kinda like what a spouse would do...!!

Some are simply perfectionists, and believe to have seen the potential in CI, for moving closer and closer, towards perfection...

And yes, some are just natural born naggers...

As funny as it may sound, none of the above calsses canbe singled out. A wise man -a winner- is one who'd consider each and every knock, pick those that'd actually do them good, and ignor the rest....

I believe that Mr.Wolf, Mr. D'Onfrio, and the whole CI's well respected cast and crew are wise enough (though, personally, I may not agree with thier every single move) they've shown to know what they're doing. They listen, choose some and ignor the rest.

Oh goody! I'm a big VDO fan and now I'm labeled a knocker or a complainer just because I miss Bobby being the smartest man in the room, a partner that Eames could trust, and a man strong enough to handle the grim realities of being a New York detective. This may angst may show a different side of Goren, but just as easily became a one trick pony this season. The writers need to make him multi-dimentional, with good days and bad, while still making us believe he in competent to do his job, keep his partners, and maybe even have a personal relationship. I miss feeling more for him than pity, so yes, I can get out all my dvds of his movies and old CI episodes but I'd rather not give up on the writers yet. All he needs is a good script, sexy smile, and a close shave.
