New 'Law & Order: CI' Season Delayed?

Season 8 of the best of the Law & Order series (my blog therefore my opinion) was supposed to debut on November 7th. But last night the rumor on the set was that that Criminal Intent is postponed until sometime in 2009 on the USA Network. "This seems to be fact," an insider tells me. The show has certainly undergone a lot of change in recent months: showrunner Warren Leight left to run HBO's In Treatment and two Law & Order vets took his place -- Walon Green exec producing the 8 episodes starring Vincent D'Onofrio, and Robert Nathan exec producing the episodes starring newcomer Jeff Goldblum.

I suppose the only 'hope' is that the headline has a question mark!
I feel sick, how can they do this to us.
I wonder if after all these changes, they realise they've made mistakes and need to put it right, but why wait so long before making an anouncement.
I can't believe it, what are we going to do now. Pine, moan and eat lots of high calorie snacks, that what.
And what to the mean by 2009, thats a huge ball park.
I do hope this does not effect Vince and the rest of the cast and crew.

Trcyk63 said, Are they thinking about canceling the show and not giving it 16 episodes, is that why they are delaying it? And are they still going to be filming while they are determining when the show will return, or is that on hold too? I sure hope we don't have to wait until the summer to see it again, that would be devastating!I'm really getting sick and tired of seeing the starter wife's face plastered all over the screen everytime i have USA on, and also the changes in the programming on USA i do not like. Don't get me wrong i do like House, and NCIS but they are on way to much more then our program Law and OrderCI,i don't care if they are re-runs or not i still prefer to see more of that then the other 2 programs. Does anyone else feel the same way i want our program back on more i miss it even though it is re-runs. Tracey
No....This does not mean they're going to cancel CI.
I have a feeling it's just a scheduling issue, The Starter Wife is not doing well on Friday's. Perhaps USA wanted to re-think pairing CI with it.
I need a paper bag, I'm hyperventilating.....PLEASE tell me nothing's wrong with "our guy". On the USA board I read something about Mr. "D" getting bad press lately. What's up?
