*************************************************
A child is missing from her bed after her parents leave her alone in a hotel room to go for dinner with a family friend.
The dysfunctional couple are barely getting

by except for a monthly stipend for living
expenses from the child's well-heeled great
aunt (guest star Lynn Redgrave).
Detectives Goren and Eames discover that the missing girl's father, a self-important pseudo poet, suddenly left his position as an English teacher in an upstate New York college more than a year earlier. Her mother, a fragile and penitent wife, reveals that she suffered a nervous breakdown at that time.
It is the rich aunt's secretary, along with his British life partner, who make the two million dollar ransom call to her.
When the detectives find evidence that the child has not been alive in the last year, clues lead them to conclude that she died as a result of being left unattended in a sweltering car.
Eames meets her sister Liz for a drink and a heart-to-heart.

Folie à deux (literally, "a madness shared by two") is a rare psychiatric syndrome in which a symptom of psychosis (particularly a paranoid or delusional belief) is transmitted from one individual to another.

Wow; wow; and wow.....
Reading the spoier, didn't make me any less willing to watch it...
Can hardly wait....!!

Finally, some of Alex's family! Other than, like, five seconds of her nephew running around at Thanksgiving, I haven't seen anything else.
YAAAAAAY! More Eames Stuff!
This sounds like a fascinating episode. It also sounds like it might be very sad.
I can't wait to see Eames' sister and see what the "heart to heart" is about.
Oh, I'm so excited now!! We need more Eames-stuff.
Did it have to be 'Liz', though? *pouts*
Well;
We've seen Eames Being there for Bobby, time and time again; but less of the other way around.......
It'd be nice to see once again, how Bobby really cares for Eames.
After all, there are not so many people -close to Bobby- left in this world, any more....
It'd be nice.

I prefer the Bobby stuff.
Sounds more like "inspired by Madeleine McCann's disappearance" rather than based on the case. Nothing else in the spolier sounds the least bit like it.
Yay! Just a few more weeks! This spoiler sounds fantastic...
More Eames' background!
Is it November yet?
Uh....based on, inspired by. :oP Does it really matter?
Anyway, let me say thanks for providing this preview.
Hmmmm....
Well; it's as much "based" on the poor child's story, as every other epi is based on any other actual event.
But I agree, "inspired" would've been a more accurate term.

Eames' sister-WOW-but I still want to see her Dad-Richard Dreyfuss, please-
Regi.
Nov. 7th........10...9....8....7
I hope that Eames' heart-to-heart is good for G/E relationship. I also hope that Bobby and Alex support each other.
10....9....8....
Good Point, Regi;
Could this be the beginning of Eames' "Welcome to my Famliy life" epis...??
Considering the vast diffrences in Bobby and Eames's characters, it'd be exciting to watch Eames go on the roller-coaster ride, and how our Bobby'd react to it.....
Folks; do you think that we're practically getting better than CI's writers; or will they outsmart us......??
Saghy
Sounds like a great episode. I guess now we know that the new writers are not going to totally avoid backstory type issues for the characters. I'm really glad to see some focus will finally be on Eames. Maybe through circumstances related to Eames' backstory we will get to see a different side of Bobby as well. Can't wait!
Yes, Cari Bunch, I think the difference between "based on" and "inspired by" is huge, and very important. Possibly the difference between being sued and not.
And since it the McCanns have been cleared, but their little girl is still missing, the distress for them could be major.
The reference has been removed --
Sam
Val;
You're absolutely right.
It's a safe method to avoid copyright infringments.
Spielberg used it for "The terminal", changing the Iranian lead character, into an eastern europian...
And Thanks Sam; our dear admin...
This could've turned into yet, another endless debate -which wasn't actually related to Vincent, nor to CI....!!
SAghy
With Lynn Redgrave, this one HAS to be a winner!
For my part, I saw it merely as how the reader had perceived it, not a legal statement or position by the writers. Why parse it?
And I'm guessing that the McCanns wouldn't be in any less distress to see a story about a mother letting her child die on her watch, if the story is labeled with "Inspired by".
Last from me!
