One of the saddest stories in this awful economy is how the charities are taking such a hit-so many food pantries and turkey collections are way behind because people have nothing to share with others-even holiday shopping which usually doesn't seem to matter much with people's pocketbooks is already taking a hit with retailers already showing huge discounts and not much activity-
I guess by biggest concern are the kids charities like Toys For Tots-
It's such a terrible time right now-

The charity above helps out anyone in the entertainment business who has economic difficulties...doesn't matter if they're an actor or a crew member or a writer or if they're in LA, NYC Chicago or some other place.

The auctions over the summer raised over $1500.00 for this...more than $600 came from LO:CI fans. And we'll keep doing this to help out our own, the people who are responsible for brightening our lives though I think it's shameful that the companies are making this so difficult.

But Regi's right...the charities are all behind on donations. I cleaned out the pantry and took stuff to the local food bank last week and did some donations to the local Toys For Tots chapter this past week (after Christmas I buy toys on clearance for the neighbor's kids for presents and for Toys For Tots then stash them in a closet til it's time to donate or give gifts). I'll do the same this year but

I'm thankful I can still do it but I really feel for people who have gone from donating to receiving...that's got to be hard.

I have a lot to be thankful for this year.
