Vincent D'Onofrio chairs Ethan Hawke event

Ethan Hawke will receive the third annual Michael Mendelson Award for Outstanding Commitment to the Theater at the New Group's gala benefit, to be held at Chelsea Piers on Monday, November 10, beginning at 6:30 pm.
Grammy Award-winning artist Norah Jones will perform at the event, which will also include a live auction. Guests slated to attend include Billy Crudup, Vincent D'Onofrio, John Leguizamo, Sam Rockwell, and Lili Taylor.

Vincent D'Onofrio serves as vice-chairman at the event. Tickets are $500.00

Congratulations to Ethan Hawke. Since Vincent and Ethan are good friends, I hope we get to see lots of photos of the event that include Vincent.
Hello. Have I come to the wrong place? This used to be dedicated to news about Vincent D'Onofrio.
Because I knew I wanted to include other stuff in my blog in addition to VDO , I called it Life and Vincent. Even so it's more than 75% him.
I'm proud to say I don't even know who Ethan Hawke is.
If you read further down, you'll see that Vincent D'Onofrio will be at the event.
We've correct the post title so no one is confused.
Of course, 'slated' to appear' doesn't mean Vincent will be there for sure. According to the schedule posted here, he and Kate are filming until the 13th - although being such good friends with Ethan, Vincent MIGHT make it.

Vincent and Ethan are "good friends" -so I've heard.
They worked together in Chelsea Walls (directed by Hawke) and have co-starred in "The Velocity Of Gary", "The Newton Boys", and "Staten Island" -another one of Vincent's movies, which I'm simply dieing to watch...!!
And what might be important to you and me -as well as any other Vincent's dedicated fan- is that Vincent has attended another one of Mr. Hawke's honoring ceremonies, before (Monte Carlo, 2003) so he might attend this one, as well...!!
Of course, we all wish that this would actually turn out to be vincent's honoring ceremony; but let's keep our fingers crossed, and pray, that Vincent andd Ethan'd be attending Vincent's honoring ceremony, really, really soon...!! -Saghy

I was going to put something like "I do hope Vincent gets to go to this!" but, as he is scheduled to be the Vice-chair, it looks like a dead cert!
Wonderful. I always get the impression that he and Ethan Hawke are good mates, because pictures of them together seem to show them laughing a lot.
Yes - Vincent needs a gala supper in his honour, too. I volunteer to shop for it, prep the vegetables, cook, serve (!!) and sod the washing up ..

They are good friends, indeed. In fact, Vincent and Carin got Mr. Hawke involved with BPeace. So, even though this is a site dedicated to the one and only Vincent Delicious D'Onofrio, I feel I should put in a plug for his friend, and I doubt he will mind: If any of you have never seen "Dead Poets Society" with Robin Williams, or "Training Day" with Denzel Washington, they are two of my all-time favorite movies and Ethan Hawke is fantastic in both. They are both well worth renting.

Yes, it's been mentioned quite often that Vincent and Ethen are good friends and the fact that Vincent is one of the chairman for this event, I'm sure guarantees that he will be there-
