If you work in the film/tv industry, here is an online petition to seek alternative solutions WITHOUT striking. Please sign at http://www.petitiononline.com/DealNow/petition.html.
We can't afford another costly strike...

I wish Cindy Baer the best-I think she has the right idea-

I agree Regi, hopefully cooler heads will prevail. Strikes are a nasty business and I think these types (those involving creative people, people with huge egos, people who have lost touch with reality and people [studios and execs] with huge amounts of money on their brains)are too involved in "one-up"ing the other. I don't know the details of the disagreements but, I do truly hope that all concerned will do their best to resolve the issues.

let us all sit..cross our legs, lay our hand on our knees with palms ups.....breathe.... deep breaths...and chant

"gods and goddesses, angels and spirits, let good energy be cast upon this situation. let the minds and hearts of those responsible be soften with logic and uderstanding.

show them mercy oh powerful ones, do not let this strike happen, be blessed the families of these hard working people and let them go on with their lives and their works with the justice that they are due.

go away deadly sin of greed, free our friends from your grasp. let the good spirits prevail, let the good energy be strong.

together we can make a difference by putting our thoughts together to make this go away. we can show our support in prayer and thought.

good energy is stronger than bad if we ban together and pray for these actors and for the people who are making things difficult for them.

trust me. if we all put real energy and belief into it....
everything will be okay.

be unselfish, give of yourself, let your hearts go out to them all.

blessed be

angels,

just got your text, im right there with you, tonight we will meditate and send good thoughts to the powers that be so that (as you said) these families will not have to suffer through yet another strike.

its not just about us not being able to watch our favorite shows.
its about people being out work and not being able to provide for their families. not just the blockbuster actors/actress but everyone in the industry who will suffer because of this.
its even worse that the holidays are upon us. it hurts alot of people at many different levels in the industry.
its sad that people are so selfish and so greedy.

there's no excuse for it.

love u angels, you can use our account anytime cause we know u will do and say the right things...always

phillipo and jon

Sorry but this petition while it might make you feel good won't make much of a difference in whether SAG strikes or not (believe me we in Fans For the WGA tried the online petition approach and it was ignored and the WGA was still forced to strike). I don't agree with it at all (the sponsors want SAG to give in 100% and for the AMPTP to give up nothing)

I blogged my thoughts here FYI:

I don't want a strike either but an online petition is not as effective as other means.
