NEW YORK, Nov. 23 -- Producer Dick Wolf will receive a special honor at the 36th International Emmy Awards for extending the long arm of his "Law & Order" franchise into almost every corner of the globe.
Sam Waterston, who has appeared as prosecutor Jack McCoy in more than 325 "Law & Order" episodes since 1994, is on tap to present the International Emmy Founders Award to Wolf at Monday night's awards gala. Full Story

Maybe it would be timely finally to award an Emmy to the man who plays the franchise's greatest detective.
Though not thrilled with the way Wolf treats CI and Vincent, he is deserving because he did develop all the Law & Orders-
Regi.
I got the news some 2 weeks ago (and emailed it to our dear admins, as well)....
Undoubtedly Mr. Wolf is great at what he does; and I'll be for ever greatful to him, for introducing me to "The Amazing World of Bobby Goren"....
It's just that I can't help but wonder why "The Founders Award" is presented by Jeff Goldblum, and Sam Waterston -considering Goldblum being the "newbie" on L&O franchise...??
Rationally, Vincent should've been one of the presenters.
And let's not forget Kathy, or any of the franchise's leading ladies.
As much as I hate to admit, something about this whole manners of treating CI and Vincent is beginning to bother me -just can't put my finger on it (or frankly, maybe prefer to lave in my ignorance).
Meanwhile, I'm trying to keep my ears open, for a shread of good news, and my eyes open, for any glimps of the "bright side".....

Actually there is nothing about Jeff Goldblum presenting this award, it's Sam Waterston who will present it. Goldblum was at the directors guild event last month and help present an award to Wolf but so were newbies from SVU and L&O, veterans Waterston and Chris Meloni were not there.
Vincent and Kate were filming during that event just as they're filming now.
Tess;
Here are a few of the links, mentioning Waterston AND Goldblum presenting the award:

World Screen News is reporting that Sam Waterston (Law & Order) and Jeff
Goldblum (Law & Order Criminal Intent) will present the 2008 International

As I've mentioned before, I like Goldblum's acting style, and have followed his work for several years, but I'll rest assured about "the way CI and Vincent are being treated" only when I learn from at least one credible source, that the reason Vincent and Kathy were absent on Mr. Wolf's previous honoring ceremony, as well as this one, is simply because "they've been busy".........
And I sincerely hope you're right, and that I'll be proved to have just been pessimistic; because nothing can compesate for trust and mutual understanding, among co-workers.

Thank you for all the links Saghy...I wasn't aware of them.
I just don't think it's a big deal that Vincent won't be there. A few years ago 'The Actors Studio' had Dick Wolf and cast members from L&O, SVU and CI on Chris Noth represented CI. Everyone was convinced that he was replacing Vincent, and yet here we are...Chris is gone and Vincent is still going strong.
I couldn't give two hoots if it's Waterston/Goldblum, Goldblum/Nicholson, Goldblum/Noth or any combination of anyone else. It's for Dick Wolf, not Vincent, I don't see any conspiracy theories. To my knowledge, Vincent hasn't presented any awards to anyone for anything, ever. It's no big deal - at all.
im just wodering when some one is going to present an award to vince.
when?
some one tell me who is going to give him his "props" for all that he's done for the show and in the industry?
when?
all these @!@#$$# people getting these !@#$#@ awards and vincent just gets pushed off to the side like he's.....
okay.....
i'll calm down
but u know what i'm sayin!!!!!
its just not right!!!!!
i mean woo hoo for mr wolf but without the talent of vince and kate, sam and jerry, and the svu people....the shows would not be so successful.
im sorry, am i hatin' on dick wolf right now?
no..not really,
but like i said..
when will they put Vince on "the pedistal?"
phillipo
