Vincent D'Onofrio is excellent as Det. Robert Goren. Show creator Dick Wolf says his character is based on Sherlock Holmes. New episodes featuring Jeff Goldblum begin January 9 at 10/9c.

January 9th at 9:00 central? According to USA 'Psych' airs at that time...
I really wish USA would come out with an official start time.
Until and unless USA announce something 'official', it's ALL media speculation. I happen to think I'm more likely to be waking up with Vincent D'Onofrio beside me in the morning than for Season 8 to start on Jan 9th! Or have USA so completely lost the plot that they don't intend to advertise the fact a new season is starting?!
I think more likely that it will be spring-they will definitely air all the episodes that we can be sure-they are not going to pay for the episodes to be produced and then not air them-

January 9th is a Friday. Wasn't there a good reason why Fridays were a bad idea (aside from the fact that we UK Vixens then have to wait till Monday for Eliza to supply our addiction)?
USA has LOCI listed in house programing to premiere in April...according to my source there. There is a certain episode they want airing during May sweeps. So people keep trotting out January...Both Jeff And Vincent have said in interviews...but if USA works like NBC, the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing.

A lot would hinge then on just which episode they want to air in May - one near the beginning or one near the end of the season.
The Wikipedia episode list page now has this for season 8. I wouldn't trust the dates just yet. It would be dumb to put the show up against CSI on Thursdays. But hey, there are at least episode titles!

Interesting how Wikipedia has titles and dates for things that don't exist as yet. After all, only half of the episodes have been filmed and if there IS an actors strike....

Of course, I agree with Diane, that it's a tad too optimistic.
On the other hand, if CI cast have double SAG-AFTRA membershhip, the SAG strike -provided it ever happens- won't affect it's production; since they would have a "legal obligation" to keep working under their AFTRA memebership.
As a humble fan, I sincerely wish that things wouldn't come down to strikes and legal obligation stuff......
After all, our favorite guy, Vincent, is both an actor and a producer; so how can one take sides in this battle...!!
Hope that Christmas, the new year, Hanukkah, Chinese new year, Muslim's new year, or whatevere other events people are celebrating at this time, brings the blessings of some widely accepted third solution, and a rather happy ending to it all:
A reasonable new deal, which would satisfy both parties.

Is Wikipedia like IMDB in that anyone can make up anything? Did someone make up episode titles and list them along with actual episodes that are in the can? How crazy would that be?
I await legitimate, reliable info about the season 8 start which I am confident that this site will provide asap.
I'm I the only one who doesn't know up from down, in from out, right from left.......OH USA doesn't either! Glad to know I'm not the only confused one......
The PROBLEM WITH RELIABLE IS YOU WOULD think USA NETWORK BE Reliable, but look at the fall fiasco. So where do you look and who do you trust. You wait, and believe your own eyes when you see a new episode.
Everything else is speculation. Even from sources close to and inside the corporation and affiliated with the show.
