TV 2008: The 10 best actors who won’t win an Emmy
Everybody rolls out the hardware for Michael C. Hall or Glenn Close or Jeremy Piven, but there are plenty of excellent actors who never seem to get an award. Here are 10 of the Watcher favorites:
1. Vincent D’Onofrio (Robert Goren, “Law & Order: Criminal Intent”) - Goren is one of the great detective characters of all time, a modern Sherlock Holmes juggling genius and madness.

Nice to know there are other very intelligent people in the world-
Regi.
Hopefully the powers that be will notice this, and who number 1 on the list is. Vincent is the best actor on tv today,and deserves an emmy after so many years of wonderful work!
Vincent is on the top of this list when he should be top on the list for those idiots who decide on the Emmy nominations. Come on!!!! This year, wake-up and recognize REAL talent.
Sadly, the idiots are stil idiots, and don't think we could possibly know better than them.
Or perhaps suck up or bribe as effectively.
I think you hit the nail on the head, Val!
silly me, i posted several comments on the announcement below about " the full meaty jacket"rib city, that interviewer and our donation and plans for (hopefully) seeing him again next year
please read if u like
but on this subject.....
mark my words...the time is near
the light will shine upon him from the heavens and mere mortals will bow at his feet.
he will be raised onto a pedistal far above those not worthy of even being in his shadow.
he will wait for the applause to subside, he will clear his throat and he will look down upon them, gracefully smile, flip them the bird(which they deserve for ignoring him all these years) and walk away
cause he is VDO and he can do what ever the f@#! he wants.
okaaay
he has his own pride of place
these people mean nothing to him.
you know..they did the same thing to erica kane on all my children(not that theres any comparison)
phil
You know, Vincent was nominated for his guest appearance on 'Homicide', he lost to John Larroquette which just proved to me that the Emmy's are a big joke.
Until Dick Wolf makes peace with The Mighty NBC, the owners of USA, they will never campaign much less nominate for any of his shows. We may as well accept the fact Vincent will never win one much less be nominated until Hell freezes over and the angels ice skate there.
At least WE know he is deserving.
Basric;
He will.
Let's not jinx it.
And we're not the only ones who know he is deserving....
What this talented, brilliant man did in "End Game", "Untethered", and "Frame" is simply amazing and unforgettable.
Why do you think that the voters of the "Sleepy Hollow" -as I prefer to call them- nominated Ms. Moreno and Late Mr. Sheider (both very talented, respected actors) and worked their way "around" Vincent...??
Of course, their strategy is as effective as keeping quiet about the sun, hoping that people might not notice it....!!!
It will shine -no matter what.
The best of the best for Vincent, and his fans;
Saghy
Amen to all the above comments. I think Mr. D'Onofrio knows that it's his fans that count and his own fulfillment in his work and the joy of his craft.
