Vincent on Good Things Utah!
Vincent will appear this month with Nicea DeGering, Angie Larsen, Reagan Leadbetter, and Marti Skold, the hosts of ABC4's highly-rated Good Things Utah!.
From ABC4.com - "He and his sister, Toni will be appearing on Friday Dec. 12th."
**Good Things Utah! is a morning talk show format with four female hosts, in which items of interest for denizens of Utah are featured/highlighted.

We just received this reply from ABC4.com regarding audience tickets:
You must do the following to secure seats to our show:
1. list all the members of your group (first and last names)
2. list phone numbers of at least the leader of the group (if you can list all phone numbers that’s even better)
3. list at least 3 dates you would like to come in the order of preference, we will make all efforts to get you in when you want to come.
And sorry, but no babies or children under age 8 are allowed.
You will receive a confirmation back via email. There are no physical tickets to the show, names will be left on a guest list at the front door, therefore names must be on the list in order to gain entrance to the studio.
We also do not give out programming information. We are producing live television and show content is subject to change. Thank you for understanding. You can watch GTU the day before your scheduled date and we mention most of what is scheduled, again remember content is subject to change.

How exciting!! Is anyone familiar with this show? It seems to be like "The View," only the ladies don't bicker as much, LOL.
Hopefully we will be able to see the interview online afterwards.

we can watch the show from the hotel im sure, if it airs on the
11th.
we arrive on that day and stay until the morning of the 13th.

I emailed them and they said he and his sister will be on the show on December 12th.

and yes we are doing christmas cards if you want your name added just let us know. maybe we'll design a giant card and frame it with "the reel family" names on it

I know Vincent is always gracious when it comes to meeting his fans but this is kind of a different situation. He's not going to Utah to promote a film or Criminal Intent, this isn't like the DVD signing party last year, he's going to promote his restaurant. And the fact that Toni will be on the show with him indicates that's what it's about...Promoting Rib City, not Vincent.

not to seem rude but..uh, yeah, we get that.
his connection to utah is souly based on his sister and the restaurant.
i have promised co-workers that i would bring back ribs and t-shirts from our trip.
this is another eppie in his life and he is sharing it with us.
i think its great.
in this economy im sure his presence will bring lots of business and repeat customers to rib city.
he said once that he would be kinda like mickey mouse. a main attraction to make appearances when he is needed to boost business and bring awareness to the excellence of his product... ribs
a very down to earth, good ole boy, bone suckin, rib stickin, un-itailan cusine. go figure.

i saw that, but they make it sound like they wont get u in on a particular show,
its first come first serve or take whats available.
if u r there to see someone imparticular.... good luck on getting in to see them on that day.
its such short notice and i was going by the first post of dec 11 and 12 so i made reservations and such for the 11th because that was the date posted for the spoof to be shown at he restaurant.
we still have a few days for more info to come to light.
i would gladly change the dates i have reserved (eventhough my job might not like it) to make sure im there at the right time on the right day

You're partly right.
Vincent will be there, for the premier of Rib City's promotional short film -which is a really interesting one, in it's genre.
He'll be doing interviews, to promot Rib City, too.
He might even serve some very lucky customer at the restaurant -as he had mentioned, once, too.
And that's the whole point:
It's still "Vincent"; doing all this...!!
Some blogmates went to Toronto, to
say hi, and tell him how much they love and respect him.
Some are going to Utah.
It's actually nice and wonderful -making some effort, to show your gratitude.
It may not seem very classy to you; but imagine all the supposedly "classy occasions", when Vincent -quite unintentionally, one must presume- is forgotten; like when Kathy is nominated, but not vincent; or when Rita Moreno and Roy Sheider are nominated for Emmies, but again, not our Vincent...
The moment one of our fellow Vincent fans shakes his hand on the streets of Sandy, is more classy and blessed, than any of those classy ocassions....
That's when Vincent is "promoted"...
IMHO, of course.

This is so exciting and I'm not even going to Utah-but Vincent on a talk show is such a rarity-I e mailed the show and asked that the interview be put on their website-hope they will-

i must say i am very disappointed
meanwhile.
i read that he will be at the restaurant on the 12th
he's doing tv, newpaper and radio between the 11th and 12th?
can anyone confirm? will he be at rib city on both days?

I have delayed making my reservations just on the chance that things might be changing and the fact that the weather may impede my 10 hour one way drive by effecting the necessary departure times.
I think my son and I will go to the restaurant as planned on the 11th and again on the 12th (one can never have enough ribs). I have emailed for tickets for the show on the 12th - so I will see what happens.
Phillipo, please add my info to the card and I hope to see any of those of you lucky enough to make it there!

I was able to secure seats at the show for me and my son. I received the email that we are on the list for that day with the usual disclaimer that Vincent is very busy. When I sent my email with the required information I let them know that I am driving in from Phoenix and wanted the day he was scheduled to be there unless it changed. Hopefully it will not change and he will be on the show as planned. You really should email them asap to see if you can get on the list! At least you will have your names on the list if your plans change and you can stay longer.
As far as what time he and Toni will be at the restaurant; the show is over and the audience disseminated by 11:30 at the latest according to the email I received. My plan is to go from the show directly to the restaurant. He and Toni will be together and I think that would a likely time for them to head off to the restaurant.
Good luck and barring any unfortunate circumstances for either of us in our travels I hope to see you there.

The Christmas card is an excellent idea. Don't forget also that the wording on Vincent's "Our Favourite Actor" award makes it clear that it is from ALL of his on-line fans, so he will have that as a memento of us all, too.
