LO: CI reruns replace "Chopping Block"
Futon Critic, 3.26.09 - thanks Peachybc!
NBC has put "The Chopping Block" on... the chopping block.
Scheduling updates released this evening indicate repeats of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" will assume the show's Wednesday, 8:00/7:00c slot effective immediately.
"Block" was the least-watched program on the night for the second week in a row (save for a repeat of The CW's "90210"), posting a series low 0.9 rating among adults 18-49 on Wednesday.

NBC drops ax on 'Chopping Block'
Reality show pulled from sked after three episodes
NBC is pulling cooking competition series "Chopping Block" from primetime after three weeks on the air, sources said.
The network informed affiliates Thursday night that the reality series starring renowned chef Marco Pierre White will be off Wednesday nights as of next week.
"Block" will be replaced with repeats of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent." The "CI" episodes are repeats of episodes that have previously aired on NBC...

look who comes crawling back to ci when they need a good show. I still think they were crazy to ever give up on our show.oh well, the more people that watch ci the better!
I agree, Tara. NBC screwed up by letting their daughter network, USA, take over CI. On the other hand, they knew they would have ready-and-waiting episodes to air when one of their new "genius" shows failed. So maybe they didn't screw up so much, after all? I'm just glad that NBC is airing episodes. Great news for LOCI fans!
Why did they ever cancel CI in the first place? We could be getting our usual 22 eps instead of 16 if it were still on NBC. NBC should pony up some money for USA to use for production cost so USA doesn't have to cut back on the number of episodes.
